Requirements

Each applicant is requested to first get recommendation from their local Chairperson or Education Officer who in turn requests the Regional Coordinator to send a letter of endorsement to the Institute. If you are not affiliated with the Sai Organisation then you can apply directly to the Institute and the Director will consider your application. In this case you will need to send some letters of reference

Applicants should write a letter to the Institute giving reasons why you wish to study, biographical information, and a recent photograph (passport size).

In order to select the very best candidates for Diploma, Intermediate or Advanced Diploma Courses at the Institute, we request all applicants have these qualifications:

  • A secondary or high school education, in addition to,
  • A Bachelor Degree (or higher), and,
  • A minimum of one-year teaching experience or related work with children or youths.

Or

Be interested in doing one of the following:

  • Becoming a teacher
  • Setting up a school
  • Managing a school.
  • Working with children or adolescents.

Each applicant should also be actively involved with SSEHV programmes with the intention of helping to set up a Sathya Sai School.

The desirable age span for Diploma Students is between the ages of 22 and 45 years.

All students who have graduated from the Institute are expected to work closely with the Sai Organisation to promote Sathya Sai Education in Human Values for the benefit of the children of the world.

Provisional Acceptance

Once this procedure has been completed, the Institute will give provisional acceptance. After obtaining the notification, the applicant must provide the following:

  • High School Certificate or Certificate of Completion of Secondary School or Highest Degree Certificate. If the document is not in English, an official translation must be made in English and attached to the copy of the original document.
  • 6 photographs (passport size) taken recently.
  • A copy of the first two pages of your passport or pages with relevant information.
  • There is no cost for the course, only US$350 to cover board and lodging for the 10 weeks. This fee can be brought with the students when they come to Thailand.

Visa to study in Thailand

The institute will issue a letter of admission, which can then be used to obtain the Visa at a Royal Thai Embassy or Royal Thai Consulate in your country. The Visa must be Non Immigrant - "ED". This will allow a student to come to study for a period of 3 months from the date of entry. The grant of stay can be extended if necessary.
